The Bula Bus was founded by chef Podge Meade in 2012. It was originally a restaurant on a double decker bus, serving street food inspired from travels to different countries around the world. In 2013, we expanded to trade weekly at Kilkenny’s Farmers Market.
Today you can still find us at the Farmers Market. We also attend other markets and festivals throughout the year. The restaurant ran for five years and we now solely focus on our markets and take home party food.
The Bula Bus frequently collaborates with chef Vincent Campellone. We have run Mexican and Calimex inspired pop-ups, El Poucho and Mehé.Co, in pubs and cafes in Waterford, Carlow and Kilkenny.
